being a SAWH and soon to be SAHM...

I have been mentioning in my previous posts how I got a job again after several months of resting from my 6+years stint from the Big Blue.  Well, now, I'm again a SAHW (Stay At Home Wife) after my short but memorable stint from another mfg company in Cavite.  It was cut short coz of my sensitive pregnancy situation during the first few months.  We weren't able to convince HR for me to be able to work at home for the duration of my pregnancy coz of reasons I dare not mention here since I find it really unbelievable =P  .   My work is global and it isn't really necessary for me to be on-site since I don't support Phil operations.

Anyway, enough with the rants =P.  My bosses finally agreed for me to leave the company since we really cannot sacrifice baby's health over work.  Yes, I admit, I was sad.  Work isn't really that stressful compared with Big Blue's and I gained a lot of kalog friends too.

Anyway, the Lord has other plans for me and I welcome our Gaby with wide open arms.  I'm going to be a SAHM (Stay At Home Mom)! True, we may not have more than enough cash at our disposal, but still, we got the greatest gift that life can offer.  Finances will be tight in the months to come with the high cost of diapers, vaccines, etc.  But, truthfully,  I am happy... I couldn't ask for more =) .

the greatest adventure of them all...

We have climb mountains, crossed several rough seas... but this... THIS is going to be the greatest adventure of them all... =)

I LOVE cupcakes! =)

Lately, I've been having special cravings for cupcakes, particularly those with very cute fondant designs.  My cravings actually started when my ex-office mates gifted us with cupcakes during Gaby's baby shower.  Of course, I need to curb out my appetite for anything sweet since I have Gestational Diabetes.  Baby's health needs to comes first!  Particularly hard for me since I have a sweet tooth.  I love chocolates, ice cream and cakes!!! =(  So, for the meantime, I need to have maximum, as in, MAXIMUM tolerance against anything sweet.

Talking about cupcakes/cakes, I wanted cupcakes/cakes too for Gaby's baptism on December.  Yes, she hasn't come out yet but we are already thinking of her christening on December.  Hubby and I know that when she comes out, we will not really have the time to plan about it.  So, might as well plan it now while we still have enough time.

I'm thinking of a Minnie Mouse theme...

...or a Lady Bug theme...

...or the ever-classic Hello Kitty theme...

...and the Disney Princess!!!

Ahh! Endless possibilities for our baby girl!  I might DIY too!  I wish! HAHAHA!  I have to enroll in a baking class if that's the case.  Well, we have to watch out for December, do we?  =)

the long wait...

Tomorrow will mark the 29th week of my pregnancy.  I am on my 7th month mark!  Whew!  A few more weeks to go and we'll be able to see our precious little girl! =)

I've been thinking about how me and hubby could not control ourselves from buying cute baby stuff after my ex-officemates from APC gave a baby shower last July 15.

Gaby's baby shower gifts!!!

Me with the gang! =)

Ever since the baby shower, it sort off made a signal to us to start buying stuff for her!  Now, we have a cabinet full of clothes and baby items for her and this does not include yet the stuff we bought from AMAZON.  Her Ninang Cha will be sending the box to us via LBC and hopefully arrives here on time on September.  I really can't wait for the box to arrive! =)  Her Graco travel system has also been shipped via POBOX.  I hope to get it by next month too.

Now, being a full time housewife again (this deserves another post), I spend most of my time in front of my laptop just reading and reading about pregnancy, breastfeeding and first time mom baby tips!  I get quite nervous sometimes thinking about caring for her.  Newborns are really fragile and I haven't really quite carried, more so, cared for a newborn all my life!  But I know that when she finally says 'hello' to our world, my mothering instincts will kick in.

Again, I got ~2.5 months to go until I see her.  I might as well be productive and start reading/learning again.  Getting an online job is out of the question for now.  Though, I might start looking on to that later on after her christening.  Which reminds me, I have to start making preparations for her 'binyag' on December.  We'll have limited time for it once Gaby is out!  ;)
